In today's lesson we had a technical workshop with Matt in the studio and we learned about the different types of lenses which were the zoom and prime lenses. Then we learned about the different screens and how to connect the cameras to the screens. Then we practised positioning a band in practise in front of the camera. This was a very useful exercise also we got the feeling what it would be like once we are on our shoot day shooting our music video and gave us an idea of the space we would be working in and how we would communicate with our cast. Matt also showed us a couple of lighting techniques and showed us how the lights work so we would know what kind of lighting we would be working with on our shoot today.
