ALBUM ARTWORK- First Album by Sinead Harnett

This is the first released album of British singer Sinead Harnett. The album's artwork identifies with all the songs in the album and the artists image.

Also the genre is clear thanks to the image of the album-Soul/R&B.

The image is dark, with the artist looking down and have a warm light shining on them. (not engaging in eye contact with the listeners) this gives a reminiscing/ self reflection feeling to the songs on the album.

The name of the album is also written over the album artwork-'Chapter one' this makes it obvious that this is the first album the artist has released. And this also shows that there is more music the artist is going to be releasing in the future (chapter two, chapter three... etc.)

The record label is also featured on the album's artwork "Rinsp" to introduce the record label the artist is signed to.

The artwork is quite feminine, vulnerable, sad, self reflective, reminisce, sensitive.

The artist is captured from her profile side and the background is black with only her face lit up with a warm 'gold' light. We can see a lot of skin, but she is still dressed and isn't sexualised for the male gaze.

The artist herself is very attractive, but isn't sexualised. This might mean that the record label saw her as a long term successful artist, and wanted to preserve her identity.

The Dark album cover reflects the dark theme that is also in the music.
